You may actually have something called mustard algae. We had it last year and thought it was pollen. You will have to add a healthy dose of agaecide. I left the filter off for a full day otherwise the algae just circulates. The algae will die and sink to the bottom. Vaccum on waste and add a pool clarifier. We used something called sparkle. Not cheap but this worked for me.
Reply:Balance the PH, shock with dichlor, and run the filter until it is gone. Also, I don't sell this stuff but, I have used it for several years, Catalyst by Jack's Majic is a very good sanitizer that helps prevent algae, bacteria, and virus naturally. It also allows you to reduce the amount of chlorine from 3-5 ppm down to .5 ppm.
