I found Pyroton (sorry about spelling) very effective. I have asthma as well as being allergic to pollen, grass and dust .

Dry pollen, is a food source for bees, which contains 16 - 30% protein, 1 - 10% fat, 1 - 7% starch, many vitamins, but little sugar. The protein source needed for rearing one worker bee from larval to adult stage requires approximately 120 to 145 mg of pollen. An average bee colony will collect about 20 to 57 kg (44 to 125 pounds) of pollen a year.

Yes, you should probably take a Claritin daily while pollen is high just to make sure. If you get another one, it could be hormones or stress. I can't stay in the sun for too long and I'll get one.
Track your symptoms with what you did and ate that day every time you get one. Within months (or a year, depending on how often you get them) you can find out what triggers them.

Use a pipe cleaner folded in half to gently brush the pollen away.. do not brush off with hands because the oils in the skin will set the pollen for good.. ( im a florist, i use this method alot)

Has anyone fed bee pollen as a supplement to pregnant mares, or know of any adverse reactions?
I haven't, but I guess my question would be, with all the excellent known and proven supplements out there, why would you want to add something that has mixed reviews?
I would honestly just stay safe with things you know work and aren't harmful.

Reply:I can tell you one adverse reaction though it is VERY RARE in horses. Some horses can exhibit an allergic reaction, especially to bee pollen that is incidentally or purposefully gathered from wind pollinated flowers (usually bees do not forage on these unless drought or other adverse conditions force them to).
Once in a great while you will get a horse that is allergic to wind pollinated plant pollens such as rag weed. Usually with little effect on the horse other than a slight runny nose. But when you give them bee pollen with extremely high amounts of the allergen it can kill the horse. As I said horses with these allergies are rare but I know of at least one that was diagnosed with the condition.

Can the biologist, botanist, or biology major . . . please help explain or outline or list in order the structures containing the term "spore" according to most plant life cycles. for gymnosperms to angiosperms.

Both are in two seperate families for this reason you can't graft, bud, or mix the tow families, they are not compatible. You can only do this with genus specific plants. The genus for iris is Iris, thier are a multitude of species within this genus ( the second part of the botanical name.) The genus of Daylilly is Hermiocallis, again thier are a multitude of species with in the genus.

It smells horrible and I have bad allergies and I cant even sit in my yard due to all the bees.

It didn't *hurt* anything, other than my wallet, but if you're looking for anything more than a mild, overall feeling of energy that MAY OR MAY NOT have actually come from the stuff...I wouldn't recommend it.

I just got a lululemon for Christmas, it's white (thankfully) so maybe I can use bleach? I'm trying the tape thing but that didn't remove it completely. I got home took them out of the car... and discovered I had pollen all over my new turqoise top. I used cold water and awesome and worked it in the sink and then put it in the wash with my other things and it all came out! Have no idea if it would work on the carpet though. Do hope you find a solution. OH yes..they have orange awesome too and it is good; but the regular yellow in the clear bottle works best.

Plus it is very high in B vitamins that are needed by your body to make energy. It has also been shown to be a libido enhancer for men. It could be because the pollen is collected from the "male" part of the plants.
Royal jelly has the highest natural source of vitamin B5 and biotin. These B vitamins are responsible for healthy skin. hair and nails. It has collagen to help repair cartillage damage. It has RNA and DNA the "precursers to life". It has been shown to naturally increase hormone levels in both men and women.
You should read the book written by Dr.Cass Ingram called "The Longevity Solutiuon". It has a lot of information in it. As for calling them "miracle" products, I don't know about that, but they are probably the best natural product, because they are so packed full of vitamins and mineral. Am aware that lillies are poisoness to cats. I have tried giving cat a bath with shampoo and using baby wipe!!! Fur is still tarnished with yellow!

brush cat first then bathe i would also consider using an elizabethan collar until all the pollen is gone if you are unable to get it all out then i would consider going to a groomer who may be able to assist you by the way , most dog groomers also do cats too

Reply:lilly pollen is a very strong pigment. If you have thoroughly washed the cat, then the fur is just stained and her tongue will not do any better therefore she will not get poisoned. Best thing to do is just leave it - the hairs will eventually fall out and be replaced.
Rename the cat in the meantime, for example lemondrop lol!
Reply:Theres no safe way you can move a lily-pollen stain from ANYTHING!!!!! Just snip out the affected fur---nothing else you can do. It will soon grow back.

When will the tree pollen count go down?
My allergies are awful right now- this year has been particularly bad. I live in Mississippi and pollen count is "very high". When will it ever start going down?
By the way, anybody ever tried Singulair or other prescription meds? The over-the-counter stuff is just not cutting it!!!

How do I remove ground in Lilly pollen from jeans, cotton shirts, gyms bags etc?
I was in a wedding and the stupid florist deliveried the flowers with the stamens sill intact. Before I changed I snipped and shook all of the bundles clean. I carefully rolled my jeans and shirt up in my bag, but the pollen is everywhere. (Black velvet jewelry box too) It was a couple of days before I got the bag back from the Maid of Honors house and the items went into the wash. They were washed with Oxy clean, but my helping husband threw them in the dryer without checking. It's bad, I think the shirt is kissed, but I really want to save the jeans. I heard rust remover would help, has anyonewlaw heard that? Thx

Do trees give off a lot of pollen as soon as the weather first warms up?
I swear , I was sneezing like crazy this evening. And the temperature had risen to very spring like readings. So, I was wondering if the trees just give off pollen at the very first hint of Spring weather or not?
and is this all just automatic, just like ground temperatures influence when blooms begin?

You are right to assume that trees flower when the weather gets warmer. Usually they develop buds which stay closed until there is a couple of warmer days and then they open. Different types of trees open at different times although almost all of them open during the spring period. Male trees of course have huge amounts of pollen so it is very likely that if you are downwind of some flowering trees you will be affected.
