How do you deal with Pollen on cars?

I live in Atlanta, GA, and i'm so sick of the Pollen here! I'm a transplant from Dallas, TX and have never had to deal with this before. I washed my car this morning, and already there is a thin layer of this icky green stuff on my car. How do you guys handle it here? Is there any kind of product that I can put on my car to repel the pollen? Or do I just waste money on car washes every week because I can't stand to have the green stuff on my car. Any hints would be very helpful. Thanks!!

How do you deal with Pollen on cars?
You'll pretty much be stuck spending money on car washes. In another month or so we'll have the same problem here in the northeast. Waxing the car provides only a slight benefit in terms of resistance; the pollen will still stick to your car but may come off a bit easier when driving at speed.

You could get a cover for your car or garage it, but other than that, you are going to have to get the car washed to remove the pollen. Sorry.
Reply:dont be dissing my hometown!!! anyways i stay 10 minutes from downtown atlanta and we have so much pollen becuase there are many tree's and also u cant avoid the pollen. i have been washing mycar everyday, i have wax on my car and overnight it builds back up with pollen so u cant avoid it untill summer starts and tree's have finished pollinating. go back to texas then where you think life is so perfect, maybe your car wont be exsposed to ATLANTA'S POLLEN!!!
Reply:We get the same thing here in NJ. If possible just hose it off whenever you can. No way to avoid it unless you can find a place to park where the pollen isn't as heavy, but good luck.
Reply:where I'm from -pollen was TERRIBLE. I would just spray off the car about once a week til pollen season was over. There's nothing you can do--even keeping it in a garage will just keep some of it off. But if you notice--unless someone JUST washed thier car, everyone's looks just as bad. You have to grin and bear it.
Reply:use a high performance polish like autoglm of some of the turtle wax products are ok. give the care a good polish and just dust it every day with a lint free cloth, happy motoring
