pollen be grown on an agar medium to produce haploid plants!! how can this be done differently to normal tissue culture( i do normal tissue culture) ie as in different hormones and methods?

This is called "pollen culture", and it is used to produce haploid plantlets. If you search Google for "pollen culture", you will find a lot of information. The medium is agar, and you will need plant hormones. Here is one recipe, there are more in the sources links:





Chu's N6 medium (available from Sigma-Aldrich) supplemented with NAA, a synthetic auxin (2-4 mg/1), kinetin (0.3 mg/1), casein hydrolysate (1 g/1), and 5% sucrose at pH 5.7
