I was sitting with my cup of tea this morning observing a little worker bee busying itself with hopping around the daisies on the lawn where I am staying.
To my knowledge there are no beehive farms anywhere near this neighbourhood and so I was curious as to how far they actually can range to do their amazing business.
How far can a worker bee range to collect pollen from flowers?
"...foraging area of a colony may comprise several square miles; honey bees flying 2 1/2 miles in all directions.."
