Dogwood trees have bloomed and the pollen makes the inside of my nose itch terribly. What can I do!?

I don't have any other signs of allergy, but my nose itches so badly I can hardly stand it. I can't take benadryl because it makes me groggy. Any suggestions?

I found that taking a combination of timed release vitamin C (500mg.) and pantothenic acid (500mg) every day eventually made my allergies better. I've been doing this for many years and now my allergies are gone! This combo also increases your body's immune system so I never get sick!
Reply:there is over the counter med and it is non drowsy type~ it is CLARITIN~ it used to be perscription only, but now u can get it at the store~ yes i agree benadryl makes me sleepy too~ this is strictly for allergies (the claratin) and is non drowsy~
Reply:go to a ear nose and throat doctor to get allergy tested (as long as you don't mind shots) I got 107 shots in like a hours time. After being tested I got one shot a week for two years and then one shot everyother week for a year. The shots slowly make you immune to allergies. Now I don't have to get any shots at all because I'm immune.
Reply:Go to a doctor and get a steroidal nasal spray, like Beconase AQ. It really works, but it takes 5 days to start working, so it is best to start on it before allergy season.
Reply:there are many over the counter antihistamines that don't cause you to be drowsy....move to arizona, desert is great for allergies
Reply:Tylenol Allergy Daytime always worked great for me. It doesn't make u sleepy either
