How might the fact that there are so many pollen cells help pollination occur?

It's all about numbers. More pollen increases the probability that a pollen grain will reach the stigma of a flower and initiate fertilization.

How might the fact that there are so many pollen cells help pollination occur?
The more you've got the better your chance of fertilisation.
Reply:flowers undergo asexual reproduction mostly..only when there r a large number of pollen cells(the male part), atleast one or two of the pollen grains will reach the gynaecium(female)..hence a large number of pollen cells r found...
