Cann pollen allergies make you tired?

Since the middle of March 2008 I believe my allergy to tree pollen has zapped my energy and made tired. Some days are better than others. My eyes are srating to get red and droopy and I feel like Want to close them all the time. Is this tiredness part of seasonal allergies?

Cann pollen allergies make you tired?
Can be. Pollen causes histamines to work over time. Any extra energy your body uses will affect your fatigue.
Reply:wow. i have been wondering the same thing. ive been so tired lately. i think it is the pollen. Does anyone know when the pollen will subside?
Reply:Yes and I am sorry. Not only do allergens wreak havoc in our bodily systems, it makes us exhausted. I have gone to taking a multi-vitamin, a B complex (50mg or 100mg), and B2 (50mg or 100mg). The B's are great NATURAL energy boosters.

Have you spoken to your doctor lately? There are several allergy medicines out there today that can help you fight this war. Pill forms come in (but not limited to) Allegra, Zyrtec (OTC), Claritin (OTC), and Singulair. There are nasal sprays and eye drops that can help.

Personally, I would suggest that you check at the local Food Coop for natural remedies. Check online too for ideas -- I just started with Bioallers Nasal Allergy Spray. I can not wait to see how, in the long run, it works out.
Reply:absolutely. being tired or fatigue is one of the less talked about and commercialized symptoms of allergies. try some Zyrtec (brand name or store brand-I've been using CVS's generic). I've been a fan of it since it was first introduced as a prescription back in the mid 90's. take one every night for a month or 2 or til everything stops blooming. you should feel better after the 3rd-4th day, once it really gets into your system.

Good Luck!
