liek allways thank you fro your hekp !
Do all plants use pollen in the wind too reporduce ?
No, only seed plants (spermatophytes) use pollens to reproduce.
And not all plants that reproduce via pollen use the pollen in the wind. pollen can be dispersed by animals, water, etc.
Reply:No, some seeds actually need to pass though birds intestines to germinate. Pollen is only one way to germinate, grass seeds for example, stick to animals fur and get dispersed that way!
Not all plants have flowers, only angiosperms, thus, no flowers, no pollen!
Reply:Trees often do.
Some plants use insects to transfer pollen
Reply:yea, they do, that is only way, but the use pollen for wind and water and brushing up agiants other plants
Reply:You can't just say 'all'.
Some distribute pollen by animals, water etc.
And some don't even use pollen grains for reproduction, i mean they reproduce by vegetative or some mode of reproduction.
Ex. Lower plants (Ferns), they use spores
Reply:If pollen in the wind reaches a flower it will pollinate it, however, pollination is usually achieved by insects visiting flowers. Gymnosperms rely mostly on wind pollination. Angiosperms rely mostly on insects for pollination.
Reply:No many attach themselves to passing animals that force there way through the plants and brush, allowing them to be relocated elsewhere, they later fall off.
Reply:No, some rely on transfer my insects etc.
Reply:No, some actually go to night clubs and dating website to find a proper match
Reply:no,fungi like mushrooms and toadstools use spores under their cap,so do bryophytes like ferns have spores on the underside of their leaves.wind is their main pollinating method.along with maybe if an animal ate the plant and deficated the spores out on the ground which then take root.
then there are ways pollen reproduces plants-birds,bees,buttelies and animals who carry seeds in fur and deposit it somewhere else unknowingly.
Reply:Most of the plants do.
